Crosstown Rebel Matthew Styles mit seiner zweiten Soloproduktion. Für das Berliner Gütesiegel Diamonds And Pearls wächst der Engländer fast über sich hinaus. Stärker noch als auf Horizontal arbeitet Styles hier an seiner eigenen Handschrift. Der Titeltrack liegt auf halber Strecke zwischen dem gestrigen Chicago, Detroiter Sample-Handwerk und dem heutigen Berlin. Manche Menschen nennen so etwas einen Clubhit. Die Perle versteckt sich aber hinter dem Vorhang, auf der B-Seite: „32 Watts“ ist in seiner Eigentümlichkeit nicht zu unterschätzen und hätte durchaus doppelt so viel Platz in Anspruch nehmen können.
